For my ninth birthday my mom gifted me a theatre class to help me with my public speaking skills, and it went so well I never quit! I am a proud Minnesotan, and, unfortunately, a Vikings fan (thanks, mom).
I am a recent graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Musical theatre (Boomer Sooner!). Since graduation I have worked at different regional theatres and taken time to explore Europe. My other passions include playing my guitar, traveling, dinosaurs, painting my nails, and hanging out with my two kitties.

"(Jillian) brings warmth, wit, vulnerability and a tremendous voice to her portrayal of Olive, the most moving of the show's characters. Her delivery of "The I Love You Song," imagining her absent mother and father behind her, is a showstopper that drew a well-deserved ovation."
Arthur Dorman, Talkin' Broadway
"... When Sjoquist sings "The I Love You Song," we feel her heartfelt longing for her fanciful dreams."
Rohan Preston, Star Tribune
Jillian recently played Olive Ostrovsky in Spelling Bee directed by Tyler Michaels King at Artistry in Bloomington, Minnesota.
